I have iDisk synching turned on, which of course means my iDisk is always mounted on my desktop but it's not always connected to .Mac. Then when I say so, it syncs with my .Mac account.

However, I would like to allow another person to use MY iDisk and have it always present on her desktop too. She is working for me, and currently I have her periodically upload the work she does for me onto my iDisk. But, I think it wouild be easier for her to save my work right to the iDisk on her desktop and then just press sync. Instead, she currently has to save my work someplace else locally > the go > connect to me > and then transfer all the work to my iDisk.

Can this be done?

I don' t think it can be done without allowing her to put your .Mac account info in her system preferences, which would also give her access to all other parts of .Mac, including email, etc.

Do you mean via this menu:

Once mounted, why not just put an alias of your iDisk in her sidebar so that when she is in a save dialogue all she has to do is click the alias, input your username/password (if you give her full access or just use the public folder instead) and save directly to your iDisk?

I would indeed like to limit her access to the only the public folder and not my email, etc... It would be nice if there were a "Shared" folder on the iDisk that would allow this.

JKT: Yes, that's exactly how she does it
Actually, I did put an alias in her dock, but I'm under the impression (based on what she's telling me) that she can't save to it if she's not connected to the internet. hrmmm, I'll have to check that out myself. If that works it would be great as it would essentially be the same thing that I have, minus the little 'sync' spinny button next to the iDisk icon (in my own sidebar).

No, you can't access it if you're not connected to the Internet.
