I was digitizing my old tapes from back in the time when a 486 was fast and I was the first one in the hood to have a `graphics accelerator'. Anyway, I am looking for a simple audio app which allows me to add fades, cut, change the levels, set equalizer levels, the likes. Nothing fancy.
I have found Wave Editor which did the job decently, but the demo expired and I'm not going to shell out $250 just for simple cut 'n' paste jobs. So I'm looking for alternatives. I have no problem paying a shareware fee, but all the usual suspects (Amadeus, Audacity) are PowerPC only. I've tried to run them, but they clog my system (Rosetta + 600 MB files = not a good idea with 1 GB of RAM).
Any other alternatives or suggestions?
PS QuickTime won't cut it, I need to see the waveform for a multitude of reasons.
