Back in the days of OS9 i was able to rip flash movies from websites. Is there any software out there where you can do this under OS X?

Or, when a flash movie is playing, is the flash file saved in the cache somewhere on the computer?

firefox has this capability.... just select "View Page Info" or "Page Info" in the View menu and click on the "Media" tab to look for the embedded media you want and it'll give you the option to save it.

Keep in mind that sometimes this doesn't work because certain flash movies will have other dependencies and will require a live connection to the internet to stream video or audio (which sucks, imho).
