MPlayer can play .flv files, but it doesn't know it can, so you need to hold down the command and option keys while dragging the file over the MPlayer icon in the Dock to force it to open them.
hey go download isquint and convert those suckers into an mp4 for quicktime playback. isquint is GREAT! (http://www.isquint.org/) one of my favorite most handy pieces of software. i use it to convert all of my youtube flv files.
VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) will play flv files natively, but you can't scroll through the video as it always gives an error message.
