How do you make flash animations go slower?

I made a flash animation but it goes too fast and because i am new to flash don't know how to make it go slower.

go to Modify - Document and change the frame rate. This will sometimes make the animation choppy, You could also make more space between the keyframes to stretch out the animation.

I make all sorts of animations: harry potter parodies, (very) short cartoons (a little like loony tunes), destroy my brother's doodoo animations.

The best way is to add in (lots) more frames, slowing the framerate will just make it look jerky. For nice smooth steady animation you always need lots more frames than you think when 'scrubbing' forward and back in the editor.
