Hello guys, I'm getting to the final steps of buying a new laptop and it's looking like I'm going to become a "switcher" I'm pretty excited! Some questions though. iSight, can this be run from my computer and be talking to a person using a windows computer, and if so, what software would work with this. Microsoft word on a Mac will convert easily to a windows version, right? I remember back in middle school I had to have a "special" floppy disk for a mac, if I burn a Music CD from the mac will there be issues with getting it run on a Windows machine, what about a Picture CD? Sorry for all the questions but I want to know I'm making the right choice. Thanks for your help!

a) iChat AV works with AIM 5.9 (but not Triton) and Trillian Pro.
b) Microsoft Word will easily convert to Windows (it's the same file format)
c) All CDs burned with the Finder, iTunes and iPhoto are hybrid HFS+/ISO CDs, so they are readable on a Windows PC.

You'll have no problems - I recently switched, and work in a windows environment - word for mac uses the same format as word for pc, and works fine, better, in fact. iChat / AIM works, but I have had better luck with Sightspeed.com for video chatting with PC friends, mainly because AIM is such a dog on the pc.
CD formats are the same. In practice, you will be able to read and write any removable media you find on a pc. You won't regret the switch, just not doing it sooner!
