Anyone here give this a whirl yet? I'm tempted to give it a shot when I get home from a business trip. Would love to hear some feedback from anyone who's had a chance to play with it...speed, stability, etc...

I've been using the NeoOffice/J Intel Alpha version on my Intel iMac for awhile now and it has been fairly stable and the performance has been pretty good. The startup time is not what I would call speedy, but fast enough to not be annoying. Overall, I am pretty pleased with the Intel NeoOffice/J and it is definitely worth giving it a try. The interface still needs work in the visual appeal department, but the interface is still functional and very useable for everyday use.

Just FYI there is no NeoOffice/J for Intel Macs. They dropped the /J suffix a while ago.

And regarding the interface, I think the 2.0 alphas (based on OO.o 2) look pretty nice, at least compared to previous versions.

I think it's interesting that the Intel only binary is larger than the PowerPC only binary.

Probably because it is still in Alpha. Alpha software usually is larger than final releases

Cool. Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'm gonna donate a little coin their way and give it a try.
