All,

Can you help me with this trcky problem please?

I want to print a database in Mac OS X but I also want to be able to also select a PDF file from the dialogue box - fine so far, all is OK. Trouble is, when you select the print to PDF option the filename is already filled in. I would like to control that name. It seems to me that it is the orignal file name when the file was first created. Changing the actual file name does not change the name in the pdf filename box, it keeps the old one. I reckon there is a variable that holds the orignal file name somewhare deep in Filemaker Pro. Any ideas please?

Thanks

Paul
