So after a week of headaches with VERIZON DSL, I finally got my service up and running.

But then I found another problem...with Mail and how Verizon deals with outgoing mail.

After all my DSL woes were finally over, I tried setting up my email with Apple's Mail. My main e-mail address is from my own domain name being hosted by DOTEASY. But I also decided to set up my free email account from Verizon. I followed everything from Verizon's website regarding outgoing mail.

I added the outgoing mail server as "outgoing.verizon.net"

I tried sending mail from both emails with no luck with Mail telling me that it cannot send mail using the server "outgoing.verizon.net"

After some searching through MACNN I discovered that there might be an issue with me sending mail from my DOTEASY account because Verizon has stopped letting people send mail from other services using their server. So obviously my doteasy account is not gonna be able to have outgoing mail. But then even when I tried to send mail from my verizon account, I still can't have outgoing mail.

The big issue is that my doteasy email is my work email and I need that to be able to work and problem is that they don't have their own outgoing mail server. When I had NETZERO, I was able to have smtp.netzero.com as my outgoing server for my DOTEASY account. apparently, verizon won't let me do that...

IS THERE ANOTHER WORKAROUND for this? I really need to be able to send mail...How can i fix this? Help?

PS: Verizon is really not one of my favorite companies right now!
