seem to crash on my G4 Tiger iBook fairly often, especially when there are any kind of rich media embedded in the page. Are the last couple FF revs getting more problematic, or is it just my imagination?

Anyone else seeing this problem?

How long has it been since you did a "fresh" install of Firefox? If you'd used the same profile thru several major revisions, sometimes the profile can get a little corrupted.

Quit Firefox. Go to Home > Library > Application Support > Firefox. Get out your "bookmarks.html" file, and then delete the Firefox folder in Application Support. Start Firefox and reset your preferences. Close it again, and then drop your "bookmarks.html" file back into the Firefox folder.

Have you tried looking at these pages in Safari, by any chance? I'm having a problem not unlike yours on my G5, but it affects both browsers. I think it may have something to do with the Flash plug-in, rather than any specific browser.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

Good point. I use Safari sometimes and see similar crashes, to a slightly lesser extent. That Flash plug-in for OS X really is cr@p imho. ;-(
