i wanted to make a workflow to resize a bunch of pictures to 800 x 600 so I can put them online. first i downloaded the latest photoshop actions. I was going to do this manually, but i found the photo resize suite on apple.com, so i tried that out, but it didnt seem to work. then i modified it so all it did was first ask for me to choose the photos, copy them to a folder, then resize. that didnt work either. i decided to whittle it down even further by passing in a picture to the resize action. that didn't work either. so i came to the conclusion that the resize action simply does not work. has anyone else had the same problem?

Try these actions. I can't recall if I've tried the resize one, but all the others I've used from that pack work.

If you're really just doing a batch resize though, it's really rather easy to do that in Photoshop with Actions.

Don't forget that you can make droplets for Photoshop which will easily handle a simple resize.

Is that fairly simple to do? And is it better/easier to use the droplets than to use a third-party program (the names of which escape me, at the moment) to handle this task. I need to figure out a way to resize things to be 4 by 6, for printing.

here is my workflow: get finder itens> open (photoshop CS) > scale >render.
that worked for me, and in the scale work i selected show action and i can scale to the size i want..
Also i saved this workflow as a finder action.
i hope it helps.
