I have a MB and hoping not to have to install Windows for just a few things. I have some .exe files and wondering what can read/convert them for Mac?

You might try Darwine.

.exe files are Windows applications. I don't think Darwine is usable yet, really. You'll have to run Windows.

.exe files are also self extracting archives, drivers come in this format regularly. sometimes stuffit will open them.

Darwine is hit-and-miss. It does work sometimes.

If the .exe files are archives, or even installer programs, you can use FileJuicer to expand the file. Especially useful if you use a PocketPC device and need to extract the .cab files from an .exe installer.
