i am now using i book G4, OS 10.3.9, and need to install a software under Classic and OS 9, but the software also require MRJ 2.2.4, and has following readme note :

-----Installation:

Start the installation procedure by double clicking the icon called ''Setup'' on the CD.

The program is based on the Macintosh Runtime Environment for Java (MRJ), version 2.2.4.
If no Java Runtime Environment is available on your computer, the installation procedure will install MRJ2.2.4. If an older version of MRJ is available, the installation program will allow updating to MRJ2.2.4.
We strongly recommend to switch to MRJ2.2.4
Note: If your computer contains an MRJ installation, which is not complete, or if MRJ has been disabled on your computer (MRJ Enabler resides in the Extensions(disabled) folder), the installation will not work !! In these cases we recommend to completely uninstall MRJ before starting the Anatomy Atlas installation procedure. --------
I CAN'T INSTALL THE SOFTWARE PROPERLY, is it related to the MRJ ?how can i know which MRJ i am using ( if any), and is the MRJ disable or not?
many thanks

If no one knew last time you posted this, why would you get a different answer this time?

MRJ was the Java VM for OS 9, if I recall. The same functionality is built into OS X, only it would certainly be a newer version. I don't know anything about your software, so I can't tell you anything more.
