Just try them out. You don't have to "switch" to anything. You can use all three browsers concurrently without any problem.

The difference between Camino and Firefox is that Camino uses the operating systems to handle dialogs and buttons etc. while Firefox does all that itself.

Indeed. It's okay to allow yourself to form your own opinions without asking other people to make them for you...

I just downloaded the latest nightly of Camino, and I don't see any spell check feature here...

Firefox supports extensions. Camino doesn't.

Camino tends to feel a little snappier than Ff. It definitely starts much more quickly, and is a bit more responsive overall. I much prefer Camino to Firefox, and occasionally prefer it to Safari as well.

Holy crap, the spell check does work if you download this build of Camino:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o...unk/Camino.dmg

It even seems to be using the same dictionary as AppleSpell. This is sweet! I've also noticed that they've even implemented the emacs shortcuts for text editing that I am dependent on. I could actually use this browser...

It's been halfway implemented. They've got the dictionary hooked up, but all it does at the moment is notify you of words that are spelled incorrectly. As of yet there is no way to access the suggested corrections (like a context menu or something). But that's being addressed as we speak.

Pretty exciting stuff...

Fine, I'll try it out. Anyone know what rendering engine it uses?

EDIT: Why does this look and feel an AWFUL lot like Firefox?

You just answered your own question.
