Or at least cntl-click-hold does. Safari quits instantly. So does latest WebKit build. They have for months.

I can't remember if it started after an ugrade (to 10.4.4) or anything specific.

Anyone else experienced this? Found a solution?

(Must I break down and upgrade system? - I know, I know)

My cousin reports the same thing with Safari in Tiger... but I've not seen it myself as he's on the other coast. Nobody else ever had this happen?
