I just noticed today that flash content (ads included) is not automatically running in Safari anymore (which is a good thing). Instead, there is a grey dotted line surrounding the area where the flash animation would be. If I click inside the box it plays.

I'm obviously very preceptive: I just noticed it today. Anyone know if this is part of the recent OS update or part of the Flash 9 update?

Ultimately I guess it doesn't matter which... I'm just real, real happy about it... haha.

I'm still seeing Flash auto-play in Safari here...

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

I think I just figured it out. I installed SafariPlus a few days ago to add some cookie control to Safari. I hadn't even noticed the Flash settings included with it.

I'm gonna go with that explanation... haha.

Yeah I'm using a similar plug-in for Firefox. It's called Flash Block or something like that. I really speeds up browsing when those flash ads don't play.
