The thing does not update. It says planes are on time when they are delayed. What's the freaking problem with that widget????

I have tried it on occasion - it has never, ever been accurate. What's up with that?

for instance the flight I was tracking yesterday was 4.5h late and the widget was still announcing it 'on time', until the actual belated departure.....

Hmm, in my case, the airline was saying the flight I was looking at was on time, while the widget correctly indicated the new (late) arrival.

I suspect that there are multiple companies feeding flight data and they aren't always correct. We've got a pretty small sample going here, you used it once and it was wrong, I used it once and it was right. Paul has used it "on occasion" with apparently poor results. I guess it's like news source, it's only as good as the data behind it.

Actually I have had several cases where the newer late ETA was not correctly indicated. This one was just an extreme case. I don't remember an exmple where the new time was correctly shown.
