I noticed few threads running on here about mail.app and trying to check your hotmail in it. It was an option a few months ago, until MICROCRAP decided to bend over the hotmail/msn users of the world. If you used outlook or entourage or even the httpmail plug in for the apple mail.app you will get an error stating that you cannot access on that server because you have not paid for the ability to do so. Now some ppl may still be able to, I now my old hotmail account for way back in 97 works, but some friends of mine whom how more recently tried to use the httpmail plugin were unable to. I found this to be mainly inpart because they had never hotmail accounts. According to microsofts website, they have begun to block all free hotmail and msn accounts for using this server to check there mail unless you pay them atleast 20$ a year for the base account, their reasoning was to keep spammers from using the same feature to send mass amount of spam mail out. This to me seems to be a load of crap, if they thought that the issue there would be a better way to go about it, like setup a traffic system to see what email accounts maybe send out 1-100 emails a day and which ones are sending 10000000000 emails a day.

So if you are using your hotmail or msn account with any of those apps or plugins and it still works... enjoy it while it lasts. Id suggested checking out gmail if your looking for a good email account that is free and lets you check it through the mail.app without costing you an extra 20$ .
