Is it possible to cache the google earth satellite images locally so i don't have to be connected to the internet to look at them? I only have 56k at home which is rubbish for running it on and it would be awesome if i could download them all to the hard disk. Possible?

Google Earth accesses terabytes of data. Good luck trying to mirror it all on a home RAID.

Google Earth has a disk cache which size is adjustable in the preferences. You can browse the areas which are still in the cache offline.
