So I started a backup not realizing that superduper is significantly slower than CCC, and I ended up stopping it. Unfortunately I never actually thought, "this action may leave your computer in an unkonwn state ", would mean I would wind up missing 14 gigs and not know where to find the file that is occupying it...I downloaded whatsize and still cannot see it...any thoughts on finding this, I guess temp file?

The first back up/Clone you create with superduper takes an age, maybe 45 minutes gor 30 GB but once you've done the initial one thereafter they only take 8 - 10 minutes( Unless you've changed alot of app and OS updates).

The missing memory is it on the destination computer/harddrive?

and not know where to find the file that is occupying it..
What do you mean here ' the file that is occupying it? Do you mean the information files folders etc that is contained in that 14 gig piece of memory?

the smartupdate feature of superduper is fantastic, but the original copy does take forever. So id rather wait that extra time and have scheduling options than use carbon copy cloner again.
