Hi All

This is my first post. Something bugs me. I can't veiw the video off CNN's website. I have installed Windows Media Player 9 twice. I have even tried Firefox. I just get a messgage to install the media player. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is a great forum. I read it all the time before I bought my new system. LONG LIVE APPLE.

I was having the same problem until I found the Flip4Mac Universal Binary plug-in beta. I've installed the beta (no longer available) on my MacBook and it works great.

The Flip4Mac Universal Binary is supposed to be out real soon now. Hang in there! It will be worth waiting for. Windows Media Player is crap anyways. None of the controls work properly for fast-forwarding, reverse, etc., etc.

Windows Media Player 9 is for PowerPC only, so it could only work if you would launch your browser in Rosetta mode (Get Info on the browser in Finder and select "Open in Rosetta" – not suggested because it reduces the speed of the browser drastically). You will have to wait for the universal Filp4Mac.

I was having this problem and it was really bugging. I accidentally solved this problem today.

1) Open the Application Folder
2) Click once on the Safari application icon
3) Control + Click
4) Select "Get Info"
5) Place a check mark on the box "Open using Rosetta"

Voila! You're ready to watch CNN videos in Safari. This is also applicable to other internet browsers.
