i recently purchased a mac mini the one with the intel core and i do a lot with imove and my problem is in the help file it states i can import video from DVD how do i do this.
i have osx 10.4.5 and the latest version of imovie HD but i am going to upgrade to 10.4.7 .

If i have posted this in the wrong section i am sorry

This is the right section. You go to the iMovie drop down menu, select import and choose the DVD.

i try that and it doesn't work it comes up saying trying to import unusuable data then that box disapears. i don't see how it can manage to transfer Vob files

Yes, iMovie doesn't wor with VOB files. You have to rip the DVD first and then use with imovie. Handbrake is free and will do the job.
