We have a rather large dual-G5 workstation that crashes consistently when following these steps:

- Open a large PSD file (~200MB)
- Flatten Layers
- Save to Desktop as TIFF

The error message refers to a KERNEL PROTECTION ERROR and really has nothing you can pick out and zero in on.

What we have done so far:

- Rebuilt permissions
- Trashed preferences
- Upgraded Photoshop CS2 to 9.0.1
- Upgraded MAC OS X to 10.4.7
- Removed .PLIST and .PREFS

Any advice would be greatly apprecieted.

Thanks,
Phil

So you're getting the kernel panic (lots of languages) screen? Or CS2 crashes?

If it's a kernel panic, I would suspect a hardware issue. If CS2 is crashing, it's likely an Adobe bug and you should contact them.
