After opening a standard Quark file attachment from within Entourage, it seems that many programs are not acting properly, on my G5 Mac.
Specifically, Adobe acrobat loads very slowly.
It will simply "bounce" in the docking area, after it is loaded, and then after a minute or two, finally load.
Many programs will simply give the candy cane blue and white bar, that is "searching", when using the "finder" tool. Also, programs will require a "forced quit" to exit most programs.
Eventually resulting in a hard restart of the entire machine.

We tried removing the printer setup utility, and then restarting the machine. Didn't work.
We tried running the disk utility from the original setup CD. No errors on disk found.
We tried re-indexing the Entourage database. Nothing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

J.

I'm posting my own reply to my post, since the issue has been resolved, and the resolution might help someone else out.
2 items we did: First it seems like this was partially a font issue.
When using Extensis Suitcase, users still need to be aware that "Font Book" is also still activating its own fonts. De-selecting them all, with the exception of Lucida Grande helped immensely with the speed issues we were encountering.

Secondly, we simply dragged the entire "Preferences" folder to the desktop, and restarted the computer to create a brand new set of preferences, which the user then might need to tweak.
