Matlab desktop on intel macs?

Hey I'm running matlab on my macbook pro via terminal using the "-nojvm" option. Wondering if there was a way to change the default JVM to the one that uses Rosetta and enable the Matlab desktop. May be version 1.3.1 could be used, I think it was not ported for intel processors. A few of them have done something similar to Coldfusion MX and it seems to be working.
