When I got my powerbook my mom threw out the box, which had the OS X disc in it. I subsequently downloaded firefox and said screw you to safari and deleted it (who knows why?). I later realized that you need safari in order to set firefox as the default browser... what do I do now?

when you begin firefox for the first time, it asks you whether it should be the default browser, and you say yes.

Alternatively, you right click on any HTML file and say 'Get Info'. Here you say it to open these kind of files with Firefox....

I guess you figured out that you can set Firefox the default in the Firefox preferences. You can also use the preferences of Camino which allows you to make any browser the default, just like Safari does.

And make your mom get you a copy of Leopard and iLife 07 when it's out. Since she is responsible for your system restore disc being gone.
