Hi, everyone. I'm a long-time Mac user and just got a friend of mine to switch over to the platform. She's a realtor and needs to access the MLS database, which apparently only works with Internet Explorer, not Safari or Firefox. Does anyone know if there's a workaround, or are the only options Boot Camp or Parallels? I'd prefer keep Windows off her machine for many reasons, but if that's what it takes I guess I'll do it. Just wondering if there are any other options I could try first.

Thanks for your help.

I've always heard that MLS is so poorly coded that it absolutely requires Windows. If so, Parallels would be her best bet.

Thanks. I guess she's stuck with Windows for a little longer.

Here you go...........

I access our MLS using Citrix which is an interface using Explorer; not all MLS's have that capability.

Rappatoni is the database support (superb) group. http://www.rappatoni.com/

Your friend needs to see who their database provider is.

Parallels is excellent too on our MacBook and iMac Intel.

A little known alternative to Parallels and Boot Camp is Crossover; no Windows required to run Explorer.
