I notice that one can set a recurrence for once a month, etc., but not for, say, second Tuesday of each month. Anybody know of a script, automator, etc. that will do this? Should be part of iCal -- maybe in next update.

Umm, it can do that. That's what the custom settings are for.

For "second Tu of the month", select "Custom" from the repeat menu. Then choose "monthly" as frequency and select "on the" "second" "Tuesday".

For "every two weeks", choose "weekly" as the frequency, put in every "2" weeks, and click on the days of the week you want the event to occur.

Thanks, Tooki, guess I just did not look far enough! Pretty new to macs and somewhat leery of "custom". I did what you suggested, and it worked! Thanks again!
