I'm trying to copy an image that's been pasted into a table to the clipboard. Ideally, I'd like to drag and drop the image to copy it to other places. However, I'm unable to select just the image once it's in the table. I've tried to use Cmd-click and drag, but this method seems to grab more than just the single image, it grabs some of the surrounding cells that I've shaded. Is there a way to do this that I'm missing?

I'm using Pages 2.0.1 with MacOS 10.4.7 for Intel.

Unfortunately, Pages is treating that image as a background image for that cell in the table. Your only way to get the image is to enlarge the cell so that the image is full size, and then use the grab shortcut to make a copy of the image. (Grab is Command-Shift-4, then select the area of the screen you want to copy).

You could also just save the file, "right click" the file in Finder, and then do a show package contents. The image should be there, ready for your various whims.
