Okay, so I have looked on the boards, and help, but have no answer. Is there a way to scan photos into iPhoto? I have scanned some photos, saved them onto my HD. But when trying to import I get invalid file format, cannot import. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Just drag them into the iPhoto window. But iPhoto does not handle all fiile formats. Works OK with JPEGs for example.

there are certain HP printers that you can program where the scans go. i know my dad has a printer that he can scan a picture and it goes directly into iphoto. ill try and find a link to the printer

edit:
found it

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh...amp;catLevel=1

there's a thing in the printers manual that tells you how to setup the printer to scan directly to iPhoto

Well wait a minute - it sounds like iPhoto doesn't like the format - what format are they in? Select one, use Command I to get the info box, and let us know what format they are in. Can you open them with other apps (like preview?)
