I recently got a Razr V3 unlocked GSM phone, and have been syncing my address book and contacts and all has been well.

Recently I started saving phone numbers to the SIM card, just the few which I will need in case my phone breaks, the majority are still saved on the phone. However, I just noticed that all the numbers I saved to my SIM card, have disappeared from my Address book in OS X....

am I right in assuming this is because of saving the numbers to the SIM card, and is there something I can do to remedy this?

basically right now I'm missing numbers I use via SMS sender widget to text message people regularly.

My Sony Ericsson phone has an option that allows you to copy numbers to the SIM and erase them from memory. Once the numbers are erased from memory, iSync will not be able to see them for syncing and will assume that you deleted them - and that you want them deleted from all other devices.

If you want to keep the numbers in your OS X Address Book, you need to leave them in the phone memory. I just use my sim card as a backup.
