Can you fix my safari?

	Im running Safari 2.04 in 10.4.7 with pith helmet and I would like to get some funtionality back. I'm not sure when I lost the snap back feature. That is when I visit a web page scroll half way down it and click on a link. Safari brings me to it, but when I push the back button it snaps me back to the top of the previous page instead of the middle (where I left off). I am sure I used to have this function with Safari but its gone. Any idea's how to get it back? Something in preferences that I'm completely missing?
