Firefox 2.0b looks more mac friendly

newest nightly build with new theme.
not quite there yet, but feels like its interface has come closer to mac cocoa standard
i noticed when the window is de-activated, the scroll bar now is gray, like all other applications using cocoa, firefox 1.5 always has a blue scroll bar no matter if its activated or not.

I love the fact that the 'close tab' button is now located on the tab itself. not on the far right side away from everything else.
better already, but it crashed as soon as i opened it the first time.

Not sure what I was expecting, maybe that the user interface would look a bit more Mac-like, but it's still hideous.

Remember, this is a pre-Alpha build. All the changes so far are under the hood. The final 3.0 release will sport a new theme, native Cocoa widgets (akin to Camino), and several more improvements in usability and Mac-ness.

no, i think, so far, the new adjustments only checked in for 2.0, 3.0a doesn't include these changes yet.
nightly build for 2.0: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o...st-mozilla1.8/
nightly build for 3.0: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o.../latest-trunk/
2.0 includes new theme for mac, and new widget for mac, thus more mac friendly
3.0 eventually will use cocoa, but not yet, also, 3.0 is using cairo output, still in eary stage, so might not be stable, but it is suppose to be faster when done.

and 2.0 b1 nightly actually beat safari at JS speed, tested here : http://wd-testnet.world-direct.at/mo...jsTimeTest.htm
altho still little bit behind camino 1.1 nightly
camino 1.1 recent nightly : firefox2.0b1 nightly : webkit recent nightly(wekit is much faster than safari)=440ms : 660ms : 770ms
and maybe because of the interface change, it really feels firefox 2.0b nightly now responce faster than 1.5.x and 3.0a nightly
