Hi

I'm using OS X on a machine with mulitple users set up. When I created the users however, I duplicated everything from User1 to make the rest of the users.

Now when User2 is using Firefox and tries to download from a site such as Google Video, they get the following error... "You don't have permission to alter User1's folder"

I've tried changing the download location in User2's preferences, no luck. I've tried deleting User2's cookies, no luck.

What can I do to solve this? Can I slightly alter the Firefox preferences in User2's preferences folder to change this? I don't want to completely trash the preferences... wouldn't that destroy bookmarks and everything?

Depending on how you copied over User1's profile, User2 may not have write access to it. I suggest junking User2's profile, starting fresh, and then copying over only User1's bookmarks.html file, making sure User2 has write access on it.
