iTunes Kiosk Mode?

Does anyone know of a third party application that would put iTunes in a kiosk like mode? I am going to be having a party where I want to let people have access to browse and play playlists but I do want them to be able to delete or modify the master Library or any of the playlists either on purpose or by mistake.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

I am currently looking at a network like program to use on my iMac to look at my jukebox (an older PowerMac G4 specifically used for the purpose of iTunes) but because I have 112 Days/10 Hours/20 Minutes/13 Seconds worth of music this would bog down the network and would be awfully slow.

Any advice in short notice would be greatly appreciated!

You can turn on music sharing and fast user switching. Then switch to a non-admin user and start iTunes. This way people can browse all your music but can't modify anything.

I thought about that but it will take a very long time to load.

I'm not sure if these will work, but what if you put your mac into a FrontRow type thing?

Here are a few I found,
iTheatre
CenterStage
MediaCentral

There more here under the Central Control column.

MediaCentral is a great app, I like it a lot, even though I have Front Row on my Macs.

And none of them run on my aging PowerMac G4 450. Yeah I need something simple. I do plan on buying a mini just for my jukebox though.

I don't think you understood what was suggested. It won't take a long time to load because you aren't loading anything, you are sharing. In your account you would go into iTunes prefs and select "Share my Music" in the sharing tab. Then on the non-admin account you would go into the prefs and select "Look for shared music" in the same tab. A folder from your other account will show up in the playlists which will let you see all your music and play it without affecting the library.

This did not seem to work. I selected it the account to only have iTunes available (I do not want them to have access to the external hard drive that contains all the MP3s. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks but that is only good for Safari. Not iTunes.

Oh sorry. Misread your question

Edit: Yes, switching to a non-admin account with your library shared will work just fine
