Hey dudes, have you heard of this really cool app called Sidenote? As I'm currently using Windows (MacBook arrives in 22 days!) I have to say I wish they made a Windows version for this... anyway, it's perfect, so check it out:

You might want to give Edgies a try too:

I like sidenote. One thing bothers me though, I use it on an iBook and an inadvertent slide of the cursor beyond the edge of some pages brings it into play when it is least wanted. I wish there was a way to activate SN by selecting a spot somewhere along the line of its page.

I knew about it. I'd use it if I didn't have Yojimbo.

I love Sidenote but I also do get annoyed by the accidental bringing Sidenote to the foreground. You can tell it to only open with a keyboard shortcut so that solves that.

Well, Nerd, your post intrigued me so I checked for the preferences and sure enough the option is there. I checked a thing or two dealing with the drawer but didn't click the "change" because I wasn't sure what the symbols meant. To my chagrin, SideNote is now seemingly permanently hidden behind the right edge of my iBook. I restarted hoping that would solve the problem but it didn't. I quit SN and then opened it with the same hidden result. Any suggestions? Don't scold me because I feel like a complete idiot as it is.

Does anyone have a working link to download Edgies? All of the links I find link to the developer's server, and the .zip file seems to be missing. Thanks.

I like Sidenote, too. Handy little app.

Fuhgeddaboudit! I figured the thing out and all is well and I am able to keep SideNote hidden until I want to use it.
