when i launched qt to play video there is no sound playing. anyone got similar problem before?
its the most current version.

Yes, quite often!

- the movie had no sound
- the audio was encoded with some codec that Quicktime wasn't able to play
- sound was turned down/off in QT
- My reciever, which is connected to my iMac to play sound in 5.1, was turned off

know what, i erased and installed all over again. of coz i backed up my stuff first
