Dear members,
THank you for letting me participate in your forum. I hope I'll be able to contribute when
I'll know more about my G5 and its system.
I would be pleased to know if I can recover files from a CDR-W which I erased without
thinking about my action...?
I used the CDR-W once only and erased it with Disk utility, using the quick erase button.
Now the disk is called Untitled CD and I wish I could recover my files.
Sorry for being so stupid to the MacNN community.

Yes, if you did a quick erase, it's still possible to still recover the files - however, I do not know an application that does that for you. You could send the CD-RW to a data recue service or google for an application that can recover files from deleted CD-RWs. If it's a hybrid CD (e.g. created with the Finder), you could also use a Windows PC to recover the files if you find a Windows application but no Mac application.

I don't know much about this utility, but it may be what you're looking for:

Thank you for your responses. I guess I'll have to find a windows-pc and restore my cdrw that way. Sorry Big Mac, but the app you told me about doesn't make it. Thank you for letting me know about this program though.
