Sometimes I only have one hand on my MacBook to control the cursor when I am browsing the web and I would like to go back one page in Safari without lifting my hand off the trackpad. Is there any software which would enable me to make some kind of gesture that I can go back in Safari? I remember using Cocoa Gestures, but that really never worked for me with a trackpad. Any suggestions?

Give xGestures a shot. A two-finger click-and-swipe-left does "back" for me.

Two-finger tap brings up the contextual menu; first item: "Back."

CMD-Left Arrow is quite close, I find it easy to reach even with some fingers still on the trackpad.
