I just downloaded Adium X 0.89.1 for my MacBook, and it's crashing so frequently that it's unusable (within 2 or 3 minutes of opening it). Does anybody know what the problem may be?

You could try trashing the .plist file in ~/library/preferences/com.adiumX.adiumX.plist
The Adium developer is registered on these boards somewhere, look for the Adium logos in some sigs. and PM him if he doesn't reply to this. Adium rarely crashes for me but it does happen.

Actually I know of at least 3 Adium developers registered on macnn

I'd recommend trying the 1.0 beta (here). Also, did you submit a crashlog when the crash reporter came up? If so, PM me the email address or IM screen name you put on the crash report form, and I can search the crash database and possibly get an idea of what's going wrong.

I got the beta, things seem to be going much better so far. I don't know if you still want to look at my crash report Catfish Man, but I'll PM you anyway.
