I have a 138.7mb quicktime avi file.
I've tried to play it in Quicktime, Divx player, VLC, Realplayer, and Windows Media Player.
None of them work. Quicktime gives me a message "Error opening movie. The movie could not be opened".
In VLC, it does open, but theres sort of nothing there, and when I go to get info, I see that the Codec is mpga. What is this? What can I do?
I must get this working!
Thanks

That's mpeg audio. Is that the only track? What do the others say for codecs?
Are you sure it's not a bogus file? Does it play audio in VLC?
Open the file in HexEdit and copy the first 2 pages of hex here for us. Or go here and try to find your file's pattern, because it's clearly not a standard avi file.
