Hi,

Just registered and hope that someone may have a solution to a problem that I have made!

The problem:
Entourage freezes when entering calendar mode within the application. In addition MS Office Notifications freeze if they have a chance to appear.

What I think has happened:
I entered somebody's birthday in the calendar. 17 August, 'Name' Birthday, Selected 'Every 17 August', and where I think I made the mistake ... Start 17 August 1964.

The reason that I did this was because in the past people have come up at 1 year old depending on what date I entered. However thinking after the event :-) This is when you are in the address book in Entourage.

I have tried to set the clock on the computer back to a time before 17 August 1964 - before the event would have occurred. I tried this since Office Notifications was telling me that the event was overdue. This would not usually be a problem, but I wondered if so many 'overdues' might be a problem. I have now discovered that 1st January 1980 is as far back as Mac OS will allow me to go, which doesn't help!

The solution:
Does anybody know how I can sort this out? I'm thinking that I need some way to delete at least the 1964 part of the event entry. I've tried rebuilding the Entourage database. I have an MS Office identity backup about a week old which I could try and transfer all my emails across from this week (lots of folder etc) but if there is an easier option as this could be a bit messy to do?

Any ideas gratefully appreciated :-)

Regards,
Colin
