I'd like to be able to remote desktop into my windows box and play games that way. Is this possible? Will I be able to hear the audio from the windows box through speakers connected to the mac?

Remote Desktop is not gaming capable.

Microsofts free Remote Desktop Connect is your best bet, but not a good gaming solution, unless you get your kicks off of Minesweeper.

None. You cannot get good gaming performance from a remote terminal.
