Can anyone get this game to load? Click on the "Play" link--after that, enter your name, etc.

I've tried Safari, Firefox, and Camino on my MacBook.

Hmm, yeah, doesn't work. I suspect that the initial loader bit is Flash, but after that it's an ActiveX component or somesuch.
Do you have Parallels? It also didn't work for me in IE6 with CrossOver.

I think you're right about the ActiveX components. I tried Firefox in Parallels, and it didn't load, but then it loaded fine in IE6.
