Does Word, etc. work on intel macs because Word, etc. crash on start up on my macbook.

They work okay, other than being somewhat slow. Most likely, you have a font problem.
I do not like those green links and spam.

they won't boot up they jest bounce on the dock and then stop an the arrow isn't there

Restart your computer and they should be okay. If you have already restarted the computer you're in an unfortunate situation. Sounds like your rosetta is messed up though.

well, i ve tried powerpoint in intel based mac book, mac book pro and i mac, and a 80Mb powerpoint file made by office for Mac in my i book G4 just crashed the computers without loading the presentation, the keynote appears better and can open the file but very slow indeed. i haven't tried the word or excel...
