Is there any way to change the date format in the Finder list window? I find that the fully spelled-out month names make the date column too wide. I would prefer numbers such as 2006/09/15.

I don't have a Mac in front of me just now, and I haven't used list view since 10.0 was released, but if it works like Mail and other apps, narrowing the column should cause the date format to adopt progressively shorter formats. However, this is the Finder we're talking about, so...

The Finder behaves like JKT describes. Just narrow the date column.

Thanks. It is kind of strange that in one account, I can get the time as well as the date in the shortest format, but not in the other. In that one, only the abbreviated month format still has the time in it.
