I still don't have my MacBook, which will be my first mac, so here's a question about OS X:

I'm currently using object dock, and I'm wondering if there anything similar to the thing at the bottom of the screen in this pic in OS X.

I hope so, I love it

Thanks!

I've heard rumors about an upcoming version of Mac OS that has a "Dock" which can hold programs or files at the bottom of the screen. Looks pretty silly to me, though.

Also, DragThing may interest you.

ObjectDock was THE program that got me looking at OSX in the first place! I have them to thank for opening my eyes to the Mac. Oh, the memories...

Well, there's sure a lot similar to OS X in that screenshot...

I'll third the recommendation of DragThing. Excellent program.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Why did this move to software? I'm asking if there anything built into the Mac OS similar to a windows program. I wasn't actualy troubleshooting or discussing any type of software >_>

Anyways, thanks for pointing me towards DragThing

It was moved because the answer you sought was in third-party software, since you seemed to want more than the OS X Dock itself provides.
