hello, i have a g3 imac with a cd-rom drive. the machine appears to have apple's dvd player installed on it, however i can't open the application (get an error message) because i don't have a dvd drive. while i know there's no way i can play dvd's with this drive does anybody know a workaround so i can play video_ts files? i'm running 9.2 & 10.3.9. thanks

This works in the Tiger version of DVD player (I'm not sure whether it works or not under 10.3.9)
1. Open DVD player
2. Menubar: File>Open DVD Media... (Command + O)
3. Choose a Video_TS folder to play

VLC or MPlayer will allow you to view the movies.
