backup software to an FTP server?

Just out of curiosity, is there backup software, like Deja Vu, that will back up my computer to a server? I have a rather large server, and I would like to backup my stuff (like school work and such ) onto that server, automatically.

does anyone have any tips on how to do this and with what?

I know it will be slow, but I think once I have my stuff up there, it will be during the night that it updates, so it will have several hours to switch out a couple of basic documents..
