Is there a mac intel clock synchronization utility available?
Before you tell me to use Google, I tried that, and all it fetched was apps for PCs.

I have that set already. I thought it would be nice to have an independent time synch utility to use so that I could see the process in action.

The OS X GUI Date & Time job is a front end for ntpd. You can see that the process is running by doing a:

Code:
$ ps aux | grep ntpd joe 21665 1.0 0.0 18048 252 p3 S+ 4:24PM 0:00.01 grep ntpd root 174 0.0 0.1 27504 780 ?? Ss 12Sep06 0:30.03 ntpd -f /var/run/ntp.drift -p /var/run/ntpd.pid
It is a faceless daemon.

What more do you want, exactly?

What process in action?

1) Poll time server.
2) Time server returns the time.
3) Set clock to time server time.

Not much to see, I'd think.
